Flex Zone Plus features a wide, open area with dense heating elements, giving you the flexibility to cook with a variety of different cookware, including large and long dishes*. It can even help detect** the number, size and shape of dishes so there are less dead zones and everything is cooked evenly.

A rectangle pan with shrimps and limes is on the Flex Zone Plus. Icon shows the Flex Zone Plus can be used in three ways. First is one large rectangle pan. Second is small sized pan and large sized pan. Third is two medium sized cook ware.
  • * Each Flex Zone Plus area can accommodate cookware of up to 38x21cm.
    ** Minimum detectable diameter of the bottom of cookware is 14cm. Magnetic coils that power the cooktop are activated when a pan touches the cooktop surface. When a larger pan is used, the larger magnets are engaged, thereby ‘detecting’ a larger surface area to heat up.

With its slim fit design, this Induction Cooktop is a perfect addition to any kitchen no matter the thickness of the benchtop. You’ll even have space below for a storage drawer or cabinet. 

The thickness of conventional cooktop is 52mm. But the NZ8500BM is only 44mm thick. So you can use the below space for more storage.

* Compared to the NZ84F7NC6AB/ET model. The cooktop’s thickness is reduced from 56mm to 48mm and the minimum worktop thickness is reduced from 20mm to 10mm.

More precise control

Magnetic Knob

Control the power of each ring simply and precisely. Just place the Magnetic Knob next to the controls you want to use so you can the adjust the temperature settings. The detachable Magnetic Knob also makes it easy to clean the entire cooktop surface.

Magnetic knob is detachable. You can wipe the flour spilled on the induction with a dishcloth perfectly.

How to measure

* The height of the cooktop is approximately 44mm excluding the ceramic glass, which is 4mm thick. 

 

The cooktop measures 590mm wide, 520mm deep, and 44mm* high. The 44mm height must fit inside the countertop cutout. Countertop cutouts must be 559-561mm wide, 479-481mm deep, and less than R25mm round corners. There must be at least 55mm of uncut space on the back of the cutout and at least 50mm of uncut space on the front of the cutout. The minimum height of 15mm under the cooktop plus the minimum thickness of the countertop of 10mm must be at least 59mm. Drawers installed under the cooktop must be at least 20mm from the rear wall. When the cooktop is installed, there must be at least 500mm of space above the cooktop and at least 50mm to the right of the cooktop.The cooktop measures 590mm wide, 520mm deep, and 44mm* high.
